Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, pain free treatment for removing the topmost layer of skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, light acne scars, uneven pigmentation, sun damage and signs of aging to refresh skin and increase radiance. Removing this outer layer of dead skin cells leaves a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells.

Microdermabrasion is a wonderful alternative to laser skin resurfacing or chemical peels because it is non-invasive, non-surgical, and requires no down time after treatment. Your skin will have a radiant glow, even out the texture and pigmentation, improve the appearance of wrinkles and acne scarring leaving the skin healthier, softer and firmer.

Microdermabrasion can help to treat a variety of conditions, including sun-damaged skin on the face, neck, or shoulders; age spots on the hands or face; minor to moderate fine lines around the eyes or on the forehead; acne scars; blackheads and whiteheads; hyperpigmentation; and oily skin.

Patients may experience a sunburn or windburn type of sensation with reddening of the skin’s surface, however; makeup can be applied, and normal activities can be resumed immediately following the treatment.

F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)

If you are looking to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, sun damage, age spots and/or acne scars and are physically healthy and realistic in your expectations, then microdermabrasion may be right for you.

Microdermabrasion involves the use of a specialized machine to manually exfoliate the surface of your skin. The exfoliation is performed with a diamond-encrusted applicator tip. The tip passes over the skins surface and creates a gentle vacuum. The diamond tip exfoliates approximately 20-25 microns of dead skin cells of the outermost layer (stratum corneum). Once removed, it reveals one’s own fresher, younger looking skin beneath.

All skin types can receive Microdermabrasion both women and men. However certain medical conditions such as warts, active herpes, active acne, active rosacea or eczema, psoriasis, lupus, or dermatitis should not receive the treatment.
